The Way Started With a Simple Truth: Love Changes Everything.

Faith Over Formulas

The Way isn’t a corporate program- it’s a movement of faith and love.
We integrate 12-step principles with the teachings of Jesus. We don’t care what you believe when you walk in; our job is to love you no matter what. That’s the way He did it.
We believe in grace, accountability, and the power of community.

Our Mission

We believe in second chances – because we’ve lived them.
The Way exists to give men and women struggling with addiction a place to recover through faith, structure, and community. We believe that Jesus meets us right where we are, and it’s our job to do the same for others.

We’re not here to sell perfection. We’re here to offer presence- real people walking through real recovery together.

Our Purpose:
To be a place where anyone can experience the love of Jesus, where those in recovery can grow through serving, and where we meet the needs of our community with compassion and faith.

Our Connection to REACH

The Way is a faith-based initiative under the REACH Impact Institute family - a national organization dedicated to moving people from rescue to recovery. Together, we build sustainable solutions to addiction through housing, legislation, and community-based care.

A New Dawn for Recovery

Our long-term goal is to expand The Way’s model- faith-based housing, recovery, and purpose-driven work – across Tennessee and beyond.
With your help, we can continue growing into a national network that offers love, stability, and purpose to those who need it most.

PRESIDENT

Matt Massengill has a background in business development, having helped launch and grow successful companies across East Tennessee. After beginning his own recovery journey, Matt experienced a radical transformation through the love and power of Jesus Christ. That transformation created a passion in him to help others find the same freedom.

Matt previously served as the Director of Recovery Support Services at RCN Treatment Centers, where he witnessed firsthand the need for high-quality, faith-based recovery housing in Crossville. Motivated by a desire to offer both structure and genuine spiritual connection, Matt co-founded The Way to give others the opportunity to experience the same life-changing hope he found in Christ.
